15 acclaimed films in the international IFFI competition for the Golden Peacock Award

One of the most important film festivals in Asia, International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has announced 15 highly regarded films as part of its international competition section. These films will compete for the Golden Peacock Award at 51st IFFI will take place in Goa from January 16 to 24, 2021. The following prizes are awarded:

  1. Best movie:
      1. Cash prize of Rs. 40,00,000 / – will be split equally between the director and producer.
      1. In addition to the cash component, the director receives the golden peacock and a certificate.
      2. In addition to the cash component, the manufacturer receives a certificate.
  2. Best Director: Silver peacock, certificate and a cash prize of Rs.15,00,000 /
  3. Best actor (male): Silver peacock, certificate and a cash prize of Rs 10,00,000 / –
  4. Best Actor (Female): Silver peacock, certificate and a cash prize of Rs 10,00,000 / –
  5. Special prize of the jury: Silver Peacock, Certificate and a cash prize of Rs 15,00,000 / – for a film (for each aspect of the film that the jury wishes to award / recognize) or an individual (for their artistic contribution to a film). When the award is given for a film, it will be given to the director of the film
