Ruby’s miscarriage

Viewers watched Ruby suffer a miscarriage this week and kept it a secret to later win over her former best friend, Stacey Slater.

In a press briefing, Louisa talked about coping with the viewer’s backlash against her character.

“It’s really hard and I’ve thought about it a lot,” said the actress.

“Since Ruby returned to the show after the informed consent that got the entire audience on the site, she obviously made some really bad decisions.”

Louisa said she thinks “a large part” of the EastEnders audience has “already turned her on”.

According to Louisa Lytton, the audience turned on EastEnders’ Ruby Allen

She continued, “And that was my concern because at the time I was like, ‘If we’re going to have a miscarriage story, you have to have empathy for Ruby because it’s such an important story that we’re covering. you don’t want to waste this on the fact that there is so much hatred for Ruby that you somehow forget what is going on in relation to the plot. ‘“

Despite the backlash, Louisa hopes her character can turn it upside down again.

Louisa said she hopes people will see that Ruby is “just a desperate woman”.

And she wants viewers to understand that “there are people who do these terrible things.”

The actress went on to say she could now part with the character.

But she said it was difficult to maintain that mindset because “you fall in love with the character you play” and you don’t want them to do “terrible things”.
