Line Of Duty star Adrian Dunbar has confirmed Ted Hastings is not the fourth “H”.
The 62-year-old Adrian played the fans’ favorite superintendent for five series.
Throughout the run of the BBC One crime thriller, viewers on the edge of their seats have guessed who the four Hs are – those seedy members of the police force involved in organized crime.
The fans will be overjoyed, now Adrian has confirmed that Ted is not one of them.
What did Adrian say about Ted Hastings on Line Of Duty?
Adrian revealed on the How To Fail podcast that creator Jed Mercurio told him he wasn’t the culprit.
Jed’s reveal comes after Ted was suspected of being H on the fifth series.
Adrian said, “It was a relief to me as I spent all of the time playing this character and I always thought Ted had a sense of duty and a moral core.

“And to find out that I am that arch villain … I would have had really trouble accepting that.
“Jed is aware of our audience, and they know Ted has a sense of moral strength.
“I’m glad it came out with flying colors.”
Ted was set up! Mother of God!
In the last series, Ted was used as the H by seedy attorney Gill Biggeloe.
During the six-part series, we learned more about Ted’s past in Belfast and his connections with undercover officer John Corbett’s mother, Anne-Marie McGillis.
Poor Ted was also involved in a blackmail fraud, but DIs Steve Arnott and Kate Fleming came to the rescue to find the evidence and get him off the hook.
However, Ted still managed to skim £ 50,000 of the extortion money to give to John’s widow, Steph.
Was there an H warning in the last week?
Viewers are still guessing the identity of the fourth H as the sixth series approaches halftime.
And last week, in the third episode, viewers were convinced they had found a clue.
