Alison Hammond, hostess that morning, looked appalled when she commented on Graham Norton’s late dog.
The host interviewed Graham on the show on Friday along with her new co-star, Dermot O’Leary.
One of Alison’s first questions was whether Graham still had his dog, which he had to confirm that his pooch was no longer alive.
What did Alison Hammond say that morning?
Alison said to Graham, “I miss you, I love you. The last time I saw you you were out with your dog. Do you still have your dog? “

Graham replied, “Uh no … dead.”
Dermot put his face in his hands and laughed awkwardly when Alison – looking a little embarrassed – said, “Oh, I’m disappointed, I’m so sorry, I’m absolutely devastated.”
Dermot said, “Once you asked the question, I thought,” Well, that’s going to go one way or the other. “
Graham said to Alison, “I’m sorry I’m awful for you.”
Viewers were hysterical about Alison’s bad mistake on Twitter.

Another fatal mistake
Meanwhile, later on the show, Chef Clodagh McKenna inadvertently made a comment on Dermot’s late Gran.
Clodagh and Dermot made Irish stew and discussed their families living in Ireland.
Clodagh said, “Your grandmother will be watching … is your grandmother in Ireland?”
Dermot replied, “Hmm, heaven …” to which Clodagh said, “Oh heaven,” as she laughed awkwardly.

Dermot said, “Irish Heaven. We’re back with the dog! “referring to Alison’s mistake earlier.
Clodagh replied, “Sorry!”
