Amanda Holden is slated to host a new blind date-style show on the BBC – and apparently TV bosses are convinced she could be the next Cilla Black.
The show is going to be very naughty apparently, with the source revealing that a trapdoor will postpone the declined dates.
Participants can select potential partners from a number of suitable applicants.

They added Daily star: “Everyone who works on the show believes it has the potential to be just like Cilla [Black] was on Blind Date years ago. “
Was Amanda on the blind date?
Yes, indeed it was – the married mother of two, 50, appeared on Blind Date in 1991.
She wowed the audience in a creeping black top and later admitted that she only appeared “to laugh”.
She was only 19 years old at the time and later said she was actually engaged at the time.
She previously told Reader’s Digest, “I was actually downstairs as a reserve, but someone had to pull out, which left me the focus, so to speak.

“I was actually engaged at the time, but everything was made laughable and the producers knew I wasn’t single.”
As a result, she said her dream man was Jack Nicholson and that she loved a man with “experience”.
She would later marry Les Dennis when she was just 22 and he was 40.
And by the time the new show is to take place, it will be 30 years since that first blind date appearance.
Has Amanda broken the ban rules?
The good news comes despite Amanda Holden’s recent alleged lockdown violation.
Last weekend she traveled 200 miles to visit her older parents before her 50th birthday.
Her agent insisted that she visit her after receiving a disturbing phone call from her father and that she was “devastated” for breaking the lockdown rules.
Amanda’s agent said, “Amanda recognizes that all families are struggling during these turbulent times, but received an agonizing phone call from her older father on Friday afternoon.
“Amanda is well aware of the rules of travel and is devastated that she had to break them once.”
