Amanda Mealing is reported to be lining up for Strictly Come Dancing during her break from Casualty.
Actress Connie Beauchamp is taking a long break from medical drama after seven years.
And now it has been reported that she will use the time to take part in the celebrity ballroom dancing competition.
Strict 2021: Amanda Mealing to compete?
An insider told this Mail on Sunday: “She is a sexy and fabulous woman that our audience will know right away.
“The casting team has been trying to find her for the past few years, but the time has never been right. It is now.”

Amanda joined the Casualty cast in 2014, but previously played Connie on Casualty’s sister show Holby City.
The actress has tackled several tough explosive storylines as Connie.
She ran the gamut with explosive storylines on the two soaps.
When does Connie leave our screens?
She has survived car accidents and rescue missions dealing with cancer, paranoia, euthanasia, and drug addiction.
It’s been a turbulent few months for Connie.
After Connie deals with the breakdown of her relationship with Jacob and steers the hospital through the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and back to full health, she will take a well-deserved break.
Viewers will see Connie on screen until the end of March.
She will presuppose her personal life once her career.
Speaking of her hiatus, Amanda said, “It has been the most remarkable privilege to play Connie in the past 18 years.
“When it first hit our screens, there were some female leads who weren’t ‘the wife of …’, ‘the mistress of …’ or needed to be ‘saved’.
“The most important thing for me is to know that Connie has inspired so many women and young girls to pursue careers, seek independence and strive to be their best.”
Will Amanda return to Casualty?
