Tandav has firmly established itself as one of the most anticipated shows of the year. And now legendary music and Grammy award-winning music composer AR Rahman has adapted and re-recorded one of his most famous songs, Dhakka Laga Bukka, from the 2004 Bollywood cult film Yuva to produce the Tandav anthem. This powerful version is a first for any digital series and is based on the revolutionary strains of the original song. At the same time, it contains convincing new texts by the original lyricist Mehboob Alam in the halo voices of AR Rahman and Nakul Abhyankar.

About the adaptation, AR Rahman says: “Certain songs become part of our culture. Dhakka Laga Bukka from Mani Ratnam’s Yuva is one such song that helped shape the youth culture of that time and left its mark on the audience. Since Tandav evokes the same sensations too, it felt right to adapt it for this new web series. “
