Babies, breakups, and bad behavior

It’s safe to say that 2020 was a busy year for showbiz.

And while the past 12 months have brought us many joyous celebrity moments, there have also been some scandalous headlines.

From babies and breakups to bad behavior, let’s take a look back at some of the most eventful stories of this year.

Showbiz babies born in 2020

While it’s been a rough year, it hasn’t stopped some of our favorite stars from welcoming newcomers.

Back in February, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field introduced a fourth child – their second through a surrogate mother.

The couple announced the news on Instagram, revealing that they had called their son Beau Benedict Enthoven.

Gzzglebox favorite Izzi Warner gave birth to daughter Bessie Rose that same month, while Ola and James Jordan introduced baby Ella.

Ashley Banjo took time out of his busy schedule after becoming a father for the second time in March.

The diversity star and his wife Francesca welcomed a little boy named Micah.

Ronan Keating went with the name Coco for his adorable little girl, while Boris Johnson went for something more traditional for son Wilfred.

Meanwhile, Rochelle and Marvin have added Hume’s baby Blake to their clan.

Sheridan Smith gave fans a glimpse into her pregnancy journey as she prepared to welcome her first child with fiancé Jamie Horn.

The star gave birth to a healthy boy who named him Billy in May.

A busy year for babies

New father Dermot O’Leary, the presenter, and wife Dee Koppang welcomed a little boy named Kasper in June.

Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn also became parents, while Corrie star Sam Aston was overjoyed to announce that his partner Briony had given birth to a boy named Sonny.

It’s also been a happy year for our favorite reality stars including Lucy Mecklenburgh, Lydia Bright, Camilla Thirlwall, Millie Mackintosh, and Vogue Williams.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry, Gigi Hadid, and Cameron Diaz greeted babies from across the pond.

Breakups

The world of show business has created a number of divisions over the past year.

Fern Britton and Phil Vickery got off to a sad start to the year after announcing that they split in January after more than 20 years.

Fern said, “After more than 20 happy years, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children. “

Great British bake-off star Candice Brown called her marriage to husband Liam Macauley after two years.

Her agent told the Spiegel, “I can confirm that Candice and Liam broke up earlier this year.”

Actress Nikki Sanderson, who split from her five-year-old boyfriend Greg Whitehurst, followed in her footsteps.

Chris Hughes and Jesy Nelson went their separate ways just weeks after the lockdown.

The former couple, who were 18 months old, had even talked about marriage and babies.

The pressure of the lockdown also hit Boyzone star Shane Lynch and his wife Sheena White, while Corries Lucy Fallon quit with boyfriend Tom Leech.

Meanwhile, Hollyoak’s actress Jennifer Metcalfe promised to remain friends with her ex, Greg Lake, with the couple separating in August.

Bad behavior

It was an explosive 12 months for some celebrities too.

The year started with some royal help when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed that they would be stepping down from royal life.

Referred to as “Megxit,” the couple moved to Los Angeles with their one-year-old son Archie and signed a number of major financial deals.

After his car accident interview with the BBC in late 2019, next year was just as dramatic for Prince Andrew.

More details about his alleged friendship with late-convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continued to dominate the news.

Katie Price also faced a roller coaster ride after breaking both feet and losing her pup, Rolo, in a freak accident in Turkey.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s senior adviser Dominic Cummings was forced to resign after driving from London to County Durham despite strict lockdown restrictions.

Actor Laurence Fox made headlines after a series about the Black Lives Matter movement while Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan garnered over 4,000 Ofcom complaints while presenting on the ITV show.
