What did the BBC say about the second series of Bloodlands?

The Twisty Turney cop drama concluded last night (Sunday March 14th) when DI Tom Brannick managed to kill both Tori and Pat Keenan.

This meant that he managed to get rid of everyone who knew he was Goliath.

Immediately after it closed, the BBC informed fans that the show had been extended for a second series.

The broadcaster said it had been the biggest new drama launch since June 2020, and that success meant a second series had been ordered.

Executive Producer Jed ‘Line Of Duty’ Mercurio said, “Everyone at HTM Television is thrilled to have our debut production back online.

“It pays homage to the quality of Chris Brandon’s writing, the hard work of our crew, and the brilliant performance of our cast led by James Nesbitt.”

What happened in the series finale last night?

Despite the success of the reviews, some viewers were disappointed with the end.

Especially after Tom Brannick confirmed that he killed the three men in 1998.

He also explained why he was blackmailed by David Corry, who told him he was in control of his wife and that if Brannick wanted to see her again he would have to bid.

But the question still remained: what did happened to Tom’s wife Emma?

According to Brannick, he let her go even though he found out she was having an affair with David Corry.

Emma Brannick lives … somewhere.

How did the audience react?

The fact that Tom got away with it didn’t go over well with some fans.

One viewer said on Twitter: “I am deeply upset that he got away with this

“#Bloodlands very unsympathetic main character. Please do not continue. Disappointing 4 hours. “

Another wrote: “What a garbage man. He gets away with anything.

“I hope that doesn’t mean there will be another series. #Bloodlands. “

A third steamed: “I really enjoyed Bloodlands, but I’m not happy it ends up on a Buggers #bloodlands cliffhanger.”
