There’s Dancing On Ice news for fans of the show today as show bosses have confirmed they’re postponing the date of the finale.
The producers decided to shorten the successful ITV skating competition after some of the show’s cast members were withdrawn.
ITV issued a statement on Friday afternoon (February 26) to confirm that the date of the finals had been brought forward by one week.
Dancing On Ice News: What Did ITV Say About The End Date?
It read: “ITV has decided to push the Dancing On Ice finale forward by a week.
“The final of the competition will now take place on Sunday, March 14th. Our production team and cast put on a fantastic show during incredibly challenging times.

“Keeping producing the best television for our viewers is our top priority, and we look forward to the rest of the series, which will start airing at 6pm this Sunday.”
Since the show started in January, some celebrities have had to withdraw from the competition.
Number of dropouts in the 2021 series
Denise Van Outen was forced to quit with an arm injury while Billie Shepherd was advised to leave the competition after bumping her head.
Similarly, doctors urged Jason Donovan to quit because of an ongoing problem that was making it difficult for him to compete.

It’s not just the celebs either, because pro-skater Hamish Gaman – along with actress Faye Brookes – had to resign due to an injury to his finger.
Comedian Rufus Hound and Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant had to drop out after a positive coronavirus test.
The bosses hope Joe and Vanessa will return
Fans had hoped Joe and his pro partner Vanessa could return amid the dropouts. Both had COVID-19, but neither suffered from the negative effects of the virus.
However, today (Feb.26) a source claimed show bosses had ruled out any of them being back on the program.

You told The Sun, “Joe and Vanessa are absolutely disappointed. They did not have a negative impact on being positive for COVID-19, so they kept fit and healthy in a confined space while in isolation.
“But at the end of the day, the producers had to uphold the show’s integrity and felt that an invitation could really upset the apple cart.”
