Farhan Akhtar is ready to play a role as a boxer for his upcoming film “Toofaan”. The eagerly anticipated sports drama has been the talk of the town since the trailer was released. Recently the actor shared a video of himself training like a beast to fit into the boxer’s character. In the headline, he wrote, “Just as a tree can withstand a storm only if it has strong roots, no boxer has ever won the fight on weak legs. @samir_jaura packs it up and holds it there. #ToofaanUthega # 21stMay ”
In the video, Farhan can be seen working up a sweat, doing an intense leg workout, and pushing himself to complete it. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, ‘Toofaan’ is the second collaboration for Akhtar and Mehra, who previously brought Milkha Singh’s life story to the screen in the 2013 biography ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.
‘Toofaan’ is funded by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar. The film shows an ensemble led by Farhan alongside Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Hussain Dalal.
