Cheryl Baker fails EastEnders audition but asks for a second chance

Cheryl Baker announced that she recently failed an audition for EastEnders and asked soap bosses for a second chance.

The former Bucks Fizz star, 67, admitted she “didn’t learn her lines right”.

What happened when Cheryl Baker auditioned for EastEnders?

Cheryl recently admitted that the pandemic and subsequent lockdown “totally broke” her.

But she saw a possible appearance on BBC One soap as a way to get back on track.

However, she told them Daily star: “I auditioned for EastEnders recently, but I didn’t get the part. I was really a little rubbish. I was a little nervous and didn’t learn my lines properly. “

She continued, “I don’t watch soaps – I’m not a big TV viewer at all. I think it was the part of the woman who runs the theater school, which I have done in the past.

“It was in the middle of the lockdown, my daughter was reading the other part and to be completely honest, I didn’t learn my lines properly.

“I didn’t deserve the part. However, I want you to give me a second chance. “

What is Cheryl famous for?

The singer became famous as part of the pop band Bucks Fizz in the early 1980s.

The foursome won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 with their unforgettable hit Making Your Mind Up.

Since then, Cheryl has had a steady income from appearing and appearing on television and in public.

She also appeared on the ITV skating show Dancing On Ice in 2018.

“A fan in Australia called and said, ‘Cheryl is penniless, we need to start a collection,'” she told The Sun.

“I don’t have a lot of income, but I have a lot of love and happiness around me and it’s worth more than anything.”

She also revealed that Buck’s Fizz bandmate Mike Nolan and her Dancing On Ice partner Dan Whiston had offered to help her financially.
