Cold war Beta for PC: Call of Duty – System Requirements and other Details Revealed

The multiplayer beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War will not hit PC until October 15th, but will be released later this week – October 8th to be exact – on PlayStation 4. The data has already been confirmed: This week’s round of testing is only available for PS4, while PC and Xbox players who pre-ordered the game will be able to start on October 15th. All others will be able to join in on October 17, when the beta is fully open. To participate in the promotion, a Battle.net account is required and can be accessed through the “Partner Games” list in the Battle.net client. Beta preloading on the PC will begin in October at 8:00 (PT) / 11:00 (ET) 13.

Activision said the beta will include “a mix of maps, modes and playlists” and a progress system that will allow unlocking weapons, equipment, slots to create a class and scorestreaks. There was also half warning, half teasing, that there will be frequent updates during the beta periods, and also “a few surprises”. Players who reach level 10 in beta will receive a blueprint for the Mutual Animosity SMG when the entire game goes live.
