Davood Ghadami pays tribute to his fans

After Holby City announced the cancellation, Davood Ghadami paid tribute to the show after joining only a few months ago.

The BBC announced on Wednesday (June 2) that Holby City would end in 2022.

Actor Davood joined the hospital drama cast earlier this year.

Davood used to play Kush at EastEnders, a role he spent nearly seven years in.

However, he was brutally killed after being murdered by Gray Atkins in April.

As Holby came to an end, fans expressed their grief for Davood.

“I can’t help but think that Davood agreed to exit #EastEnders because Kate Oates gave him a permanent role on #HolbyCity. My heart breaks for the cast, the crew and everyone involved, ”said one fan.

A second viewer tweeted: “Poor Davood. Let’s get Kush to come back from the dead to kill Gray. #EastEnders. “

Meanwhile, a third added: “Poor Davood will only be there for a few more months … #HolbyCity.”

The medical drama, which first aired on BBC One in 1999, will air its final episode next March.

The news was posted on Holby City’s official Twitter account.

The tweet read: “We are very sorry to have to tell you the sad news that Holby City will come to an end in March next year after 23 amazing years.

“We’re so grateful to Holby’s wonderful cast, crew, writers and producers. And also to our millions of loyal viewers and fans for being part of our show. “

“This difficult decision reflects the BBC’s commitment to doing more programming across the UK and better reflecting, representing and serving all parts of the country,” the tweet added.

Davood wrote on Twitter: “I only had the privilege of being a part of. to be @BBCHolbyCity for a couple of months, but it’s already very clear that it’s a big family, not a job.

“We will miss that very much. Let’s go out with a bang. “
