This morning’s presenters Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond were criticized by viewers after laughing as a caller spoke about their unusual phobia today (Friday, February 12).
Dermot and Alison couldn’t hold back their giggles on the show when a viewer described their fear of terracotta pots.
And that lack of tact resulted in more viewers complaining on Twitter.
What happened to Dermot and Alison that morning?
The duo welcomed resident psychotherapists Speakmans on the show to talk about phobias.
During the segment, the quartet took calls from viewers and tried to help them with their often debilitating irrational fears.

When the viewer called Lulu, however, they were unprepared for the nature of their phobia.
The phobia was a fear of terracotta pots.
What was Lulu’s unusual phobia?
Lulu explained that the phobia arose when she was involved in a traffic accident with her father and a terracotta pot.
Dermot and Alison smiled when Lulu told their story, but lost it when Nik and Eva Speakman gave their advice.
They told her to consider the terracotta pot as a victim of the crash as they did.
Then Dermot and Alison couldn’t go back.
Subsequently, viewers used social media to blow up the duo.
