One look at the latest Jyotica Tangri releases and any Bollywood singer would go green. Her recently released song Na Dooja Koi, starring Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh, hit 27 million organic views within a week of its release. The young, talented singer was followed by Nakhre with social media star Nisha Guragain. The song was released last week and has already had 1.2 million organic views. And what can we say about the insanely popular Dream Mein Entry with Rakhi Sawant? Since its release, it has crashed the charts (25 million views and count). And now the versatile singer is back with her new single, Zindagi, which has just been released. The romantic single that talks about true love features ex-Bigg Boss contestant Sana Sultan Khan and Mandeep Gujjar.
As expected, Jyotica is thrilled to be releasing consecutive hits within a month. However, she is not resting on her laurels: “I was lucky with the people I met and the opportunities I got. When I moved to Mumbai, I sang scratches and demos for various composers. I didn’t see it as a struggle. I enjoy music. I didn’t have any expectations. I would never ask about the song or call the composer to find out what happened to the song. I knew one day I was going to get a call that my voice was selected. So far the trip has been nice. “

Jyotica started out as a singing reality TV contestant, but today she rules the music charts. Some of their super hits like “Pallo Latke” by Rajkumar Rao & Kriti Kharbanda in the leading role “Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana”, “Khadke Glassy” by Siddharth Malhotra & Parineeti Chopra in the leading role “Jabariya Jodi” and “Gallan Kardi” by Saif Ali Khan -Star ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ belongs to Jyotica. Her Punjabi songs – Tu Bhi Royega and Ek Diamond Da Haar – are just as popular. “Whenever I sing, I put my heart into it so that it connects people. When a song gets so many views, it means that it connects with people somewhere, ”says the young playback singer, who won the 2018 Zee Cine Award for best female playback singer for Pallo Latke.
Now that her new single “Zindagi” has been released, she is confident that people will reconnect with the song. “The special thing about the song is the musical team. With the same musical team, we worked wonders with Kyun on Insta-Reels. The lyricist Kumaar wrote the lyrics and Sushant-Shankar composed the music, ”says Jyotica, who has been trained in Hindustan classical music for 15 years. Ask her about the single’s USP and she’ll say it’s the genre that got her hooked. “The song describes the feelings of true lovers. While one is very much in love, the other doubts. The relationship becomes toxic. I’m sure the pain can be felt through the song, ”she says.

When asked about nepotism in the Hindi music industry, Jyotica says, “Being a musician, I believe that justice should always be done to a song. It doesn’t matter who sings it. And yes, there are groups in the industry. Even if I jam with my people, that doesn’t mean that outside musicians are not welcome or forbidden here. ”Not many people know that Jyotica can sing in more than 21 languages. This even led her to the first entertainment reality show Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and she won the ‘Performer of the Day’ in 2013. “I feel out of this world. From the time nothing came up on the internet when I typed my name on Google to the time my songs were all over social media and circulating on reels, it’s a different feeling, ”Jyotica smiles.
