Prince Philip mourns a friend who remains in the hospital.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, has been in the hospital since February 16 when he was treated for an infection.
A royal commentator and expert has now revealed that Philip suffered the loss of a royal side and a friend the day he was rushed to the hospital.

Robert Jobson said on True Royalty TV: “When Prince Philip went to the hospital the other day, his royal side, who had been with him for many years, died on the day the Duke entered.

“This is sad news for the Duke too, if members of your staff who were with you every day and he is much younger than the Duke, when you hear that, it is quite difficult.
“Many of his friends have died, many of his employees have died.”
Philip was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London on Tuesday February 16 as a “precautionary measure”.
Buckingham Palace later confirmed that the Duke “responded” to an infection.
On February 20, Philip’s son Prince Charles visited his father in the hospital.
According to the Queen’s former press secretary Dickie Arbiter, Philip asked Charles to visit him.
Mr Arbiter told True Royalty TV’s weekly program The Royal Beat, “I believe the Prince of Wales came to see you at the Duke’s request.”

He added, “To lay the ground. Look, the man is 99, he has an infection. I suppose he will come out, he will go out, and he will return to Windsor.

“But at some point he’ll die and he just said to Charles, ‘One day you’ll be the leading man in the family.'”
