On the latest royal news, Prince William revisited a homeless charity that Princess Diana took him in “as a little boy” with.
The Duke of Cambridge attended an awards ceremony for the charity The Passage yesterday (September 30th) to mark its 40th anniversary.
After the trip, the royal shared a series of snapshots of the visit on Instagram with one of his late mother.
News from Prince William: Duke visits the homeless shelter
The photos showed William, who became royal patron of The Passage in 2019, and greeted various staff members.
The event paid tribute to customers, employees, supporters and volunteers.
William stated that after visiting as a teenager, he felt “great affection” for the charity.
40 years of life changing work
The 39-year-old Royal also contained a recording of his late mother.
As a caption he wrote: “40 years. 40 years of life changing work @passagecharity.
“In the many years I’ve been to The Passage, first with my mother when I was a little boy, I’ve developed a great affection for all of you.
“Every time I come here, I am touched by the warmth and friendliness and the dignity and respect you show everyone who comes through your door.”
William continued, “I am always so impressed to see and hear the difference The Passage is making in the lives of people who are homeless.
“Thanks to everyone for their continuous work. W. “

Royal fans rushed to comment, with one saying, “Carrying on his mother’s legacy.”
Another wrote: “This is how you remember your mother, honor her heritage and her passion. Keep doing whatever you do, Will and she will be so proud of you. “
A third added, “These personal messages the two of you have shared lately are so, so beautiful! Thanks for your work! “
What else is William up to?
It has certainly been a busy week for William and his wife, Kate Middleton.
On Tuesday, the couple attended the James Bond premiere with Prince Charles and Camilla.
The Duchess opted for a stunning dress by Jenny Packham, while her husband wore an elegant suit.

William and Kate then traveled to Northern Ireland.
During the visit, they went to a petting zoo on the Magee campus of Ulster University in Derry-Londonderry.
There the couple announced that their family had taken in “many animals” through the lockdown.
