Eamonn Holmes is under fire after making a joke on his wife, Ruth Langsford, which is broadcast live.
The This Morning couple returned to host the show for the first time since they were replaced on their Friday slot.
Unfortunately, her long-awaited return didn’t go quite as planned.
Eamonn, 61, apparently jerked Ruth, 60, about her weight.
During the It’s Behind You game, a picture of Kate Middleton appeared behind them.
One caller tried to describe the king and said, “She is very thin.”
Then Eamonn did the dig.

But his jokes didn’t stop there when he then made another!
Eamonn added, “You wouldn’t say she is very thin and married to Eamonn Holmes, would you? No, he wouldn’t have done that, ”Ruth chuckled.
His comments sparked a number of complaints on Twitter.
One user tweeted: “Imagine hearing ‘she’s thin’ and saying to your wife next to you on live television, ‘Then it’s clearly not about you.’ “
