Eamonn Holmes has confessed that he once had very harsh words with Anne Robinson.
The 76-year-old countdown host once suggested that Eamonn “sacrificed fatherhood for fame.”
Eamon shares his children Declan, Rebecca and Niall with his ex-wife Gabrielle and Jack with his wife Ruth Langsford.
After hearing her remarks, Eamonn decided to confront the host when they happened to meet at an airport.

Speaking of his children in RTE Ones The Meaning of Life, he said, “I went to an airport lounge very, very early on a Sunday morning in Belfast and there was another person in that lounge and it was Anne Robinson.

“I went up to her and just said, very coldly and warmly, ‘If you were a guy, I would knock you [bleep] Chop the head off. I just want you to know. ‘”
Eamonn continued to defend his upbringing, insisting that he had always taken care to balance his career and upbringing.
He added: “This is from a man who was flying back from London for his children’s school sports days who would take the last flight from Belfast at 10am if he’d put them to bed at 8pm, you know, who just did was there for them all the time when they needed them. “
After Eamonn’s yelling at the airport, Anne found it in her heart to apologize for her comments.

She asked to sit next to the This Morning star on the plane, and Eamonn says they ended their feud.
He said, “Anne Robinson then asked me to sit next to her on the plane and I thought twice about it and sat next to her.
“We had a very insightful conversation, a very sensible conversation, and she apologized.”
