EastEnders star Jake Wood amazes fans when he shows off a ripped body

EastEnders actor Jake Wood used lockdown to get in serious shape.

The 48-year-old star plays Max Branning in the long-running BBC soap.

With a plan to leave soon, the actor has turned his attention to getting a six pack abs.

In a picture on Instagram, shirtless Jake was staring straight at the camera while showing off his fitness body.

“Looks good Jakey!” said a fan.

“It’s like looking in a mirror,” joked for a second.

“Seriously impressed!” said a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Totally FIRE!”

Jake says goodbye to Albert Square

In a video shared on his Instagram in December, Jake said goodbye to EastEnders.

He said to his followers: “Tomorrow everyone, how are we all? I hope you are well.

“A pretty wet and gray day, a strange day for me, it’s my last day on set. Last day EastEnders was filmed as Max Branning after fifteen years.

“Yes, I will miss the place. People are really for me. I’ve met some great people, made some great friends, and just had an amazing, life changing experience. “

“So yes, let’s go. Thank you to everyone for all your messages of support and love. I really appreciated it all and yes, who knows what the future will bring.

“But today we’re saying goodbye to Max Branning. Sad day, but just wanted to share this with you. “

Jake wrote a sad post: “This is a wrap. After 15 years in Albert Square, today it’s finally time to say goodbye to Max Branning. I will miss EastEnders and the people here so much. Thank you everyone for your support. “

EastEnders icon Lacey Turner paid tribute to her co-star in December.

Lacey has played Max’s on-off lover Stacey for 15 years, which is why they’ve shot hundreds of scenes together over the years.
