Everything we know from the release date to the first trailer

Get ready for some good old-fashioned, heartwarming melodrama – the third season of Virgin River is almost here.

The series has become a firm favorite among Netflix viewers who enjoy addicting soap stories.

And if the new trailer appeals to it, the love story between town girl Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and compatriot Jack (Martin Henderson) has a lot of juicy life stories waiting for us.

But it also looks like some sadness is on the horizon as Doc Mullins (Tim Matheson) reveals some potentially devastating news about his health.

We’ve even got some newcomers to town now – Zibby Allen from Grey’s Anatomy is coming as Jack’s attorney sister Brie.

Stacy Faber will also arrive as Lilly’s daughter Tara.

Since Mel arrived in Virgin River as the new doctor, Mel has fallen head over heels in love with Jack.

While not on the best of terms, they are now a solid couple.

But her future was in the balance when Jack was shot at the end of season two, and viewers have been waiting to see if he survived ever since.

But as their relationship gets more serious every day, it seems that they run into a roadblock while discussing children.

Virgin River’s new episodes will be released on July 9th.

The series will fall in one fell swoop – perfect for a weekend of binge watching.

According to Production Weekly, season 4 is already being planned.

We can hardly wait.
