Vengeance is known as the raging fire that has the power to consume you, control you and defeat you. The highly anticipated Ek Thi Begum series is back with its second gripping season, in which Anuja Sathe repeats her role as Ashraf and continues her quest for revenge. In this season she not only enters the world of crime, but also dominates this masculine world of gangsters and turf wars.
Anyone who was once a loving wife is now a wanted criminal – persecuted by police officers, politicians and, of course, rival gangsters. The first season narrative followed the life of Ashraf, whose husband Zaheer (Ankit Mohan), once the confidante of the underworld Don Maqsood (Ajay Gehi), was killed. Ashraf adorns the alias of Sapna, a bar dancer, and stages a plot to kill anyone responsible for the murder of her husband. She was vulnerable, but knew how to use her sensuality and wit to her strengths, but now she is driven by revenge and has no more inhibitions.
Season two begins with the hunt for Leela Paswan, yet another disguise for Ashraf who defied death and returned to her mission to bring the dreaded and powerful Dubai-Don to his knees.

Regarding this transition, Anuja Sathe said: “From a docile housewife to learning to load and fire a gun, this is the story of a woman who was unbreakable. Despite physical blows that would destroy another woman, Ashraf never says the ghost is keeping her alive and that is a quality I will take with me. She’s not your ordinary main female character, she’s not righteous, her ways are illegal at best, but in her own way she carves a niche for herself and she’s real which makes her all the more relatable. ”
“With all the positive feedback I got about the first season and the high expectations of the audience, the challenge for me was to take this role just that little bit higher. Leela Paswan aka Ashraf will always be one of the wildest characters of my career, ”added the actress.
Directed by Sachin Darekar and Vishal Modhave, this series also stars Shahab Ali, Chinmay Mandlekar, Vijay Nikam, Resham Shrivardhankar, Rajendra Shisatkar, Nazar Khan, Hitesh Bhojraj, Sauraseni Maitra, Lokesh Gupte, Mir Sarwar, Purnanada Wandekar and the role of Rohan Gujar in.
