Life Stories host Piers Morgan was commended by Gemma Collins for publicly defending her against heinous death threats.
The reality star, 40, thanked the 55-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter after his passionate speech during the show on Monday (February 8th).
She also called on social media platforms to take action against trolling.

Gemma shared a clip from Piers’ speech on Instagram on Monday.

She also said, “They should do a lot more !!! IN ANY CASE. Why do the platforms allow it? “
Gemma’s post comes days after the GMB star brought up the horrific comments.
The reality star’s upcoming appearance on Life Stories angered some fans, and some even sent Gemma death threats.

Piers hit back on the criticism, saying, “Nobody should have to put up with people on Twitter who spit the kind of heinous abuse and death threats they spit on Gemma Collins.
“The moment I announced that I would do it, it was pouring.
“People on Twitter say, ‘I hope you die. ‘This is now a malicious thing in our culture and society. “
In addition, he said: “There is no regulation. If a newspaper did that, or if we did that today and spent the next five minutes wishing people dead, we would go out of thin air. “

Gemma’s life stories will air on ITV at 9 p.m. tonight.
The host previously promised that the program would show “tears, laughter and sex videos”.
In the meantime, Piers posted a clip from today’s episode on Twitter.
In it, Gemma bursts into tears as she discusses the negative aspects of the spotlight.
