In fact, there have even been rumors lately that Piers might be returning to GMB.

He said he had “talks” with ITV but has not yet received any formal confirmations of the network’s comeback.

He resigned in March after declaring that he did not believe Meghan Markle’s claims in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

As a result, Meghan reportedly complained directly to ITV, and Piers resigned as a result.

The former GMB presenter tweeted defiantly: “On Monday I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to ponder that opinion, and I still don’t know. If you’ve done that, OK. Freedom of expression is a hill I like to die on.

“Thank you for all the love and hate. I’m on my way to spend more time with my opinions. “
