Himanshu Malhotra shares his love for cricket on National Sports Day

National Sports Day is celebrated on August 29th, and Shershaah actor Himanshu Malhotra has shared his love of sports, especially cricket. “I played cricket. I was a professional cricketer for so many years and then I became an actor. I played badminton and table tennis for a while. I also played a little soccer. I love sports, ”said the actor, who thinks that as an athlete you have to take care of your health.

“Our country’s national sport is hockey, but cricket is considered a kind of religion in India. Everyone who played it was treated like God, ”added actor Ek Nayi Umeed-Roshni. Himanshu, who started out as an actor in the mid-2000s, believes that sports other than cricket are a little less popular in India.

“Tennis and badminton (are popular) because of Sania Mirza and PV Sindhu. Once we have a Sania Mirza or a Primary Sindhu, we will have children to follow them. Once we have a Shah Rukh Khan, we will have younger generation children to follow him. The idol creates a great path for sport and that happens in our country too. We actually follow a lot of celebrity culture. We pursue a lot of heroism that happens, ”he said.
