Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield support Julia Bradbury after the operation

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield sent their congratulations to Julia Bradbury this morning (October 12).

The presenting duo paid tribute to their ITV counterparts following their mastectomy this week.

During the operation, Julia had her left breast removed after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The couple touched on Julia’s recent surgery on Tuesday’s program.

Holly, 40, said, “Before we move on to our health story today, we wanted to send our best wishes to Julia Bradbury.”

Phillip, 59, continued, “She finished her mastectomy yesterday and is now recovering.

Send all of our love to her

“We loved seeing her in our woods just before she had surgery, so we look forward to seeing her and sending her all of our love.”

Holly then added, “Rest, take care.”

After the warm message, viewers also used social media to share their support.

On Twitter one said: “She is such a brave, dignified and inspiring lady. Send love and strength. “

Another added, “I hope you recover quickly Julia … keep fighting !! I send you huge hugs and love. “

A third tweeted: “I send a lot of loving hugs and best wishes for a speedy recovery Julia.”

Julia gives health update after mastectomy

The 51-year-old country file host continued to keep her fans up to date during her cancer battle.

Yesterday (October 11), Julia shared a snapshot of herself in her hospital bed after undergoing an operation.

In the image, the star had a visible black spot in the center of her chest.

An excerpt from her emotional post read: “I’m out of the operation. These will be my new companions for the coming weeks and months.

“I need a drain to drain excess blood from the surgery and I have to wear a special bra for the next 6 weeks after breast surgery / mastectomy to protect my upper body after the surgery. (This one is from @theyahealthcare – made from bamboo fibers).

“The marks on my chest are marks that my surgeon can follow during the operation.”

Meanwhile, Julia thanked her followers earlier today for their constant support.

She wrote: “Thank you all for your good wishes and positive vibes, it’s so comforting. I am glad to have you all. “

Julia spoke about her diagnosis of breast cancer for the first time last month.
