Who is peter jones

Peter Jones CBE is a British entrepreneur and businessman.

He is interested in cell phones, television, media, leisure, retail, and real estate.

After making his millions, he switched to television and became a reality TV personality on Dragons’ Den in 2005.

He is actually the last remaining original investor on the BBC show.

Peter can also be seen in the US television series American Inventor, which was developed by his own television company Peter Jones TV and Tycoon from ITV1.

He was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2009.

How did Peter Jones make his money?

Peter started his own business when he was only 16 years old.

He started a tennis academy and bought his own house when he left school.

He made PCs under his own brand but lost £ 200,000 after deciding to sell them to IBM.

He lost a lot of money in his twenties when one of his creditors went broke and was forced to abandon his three bedroom house in Bray and his cars and move back in with his parents.

Peter then moved to Siemens Nixdorf until he founded his next company, Phones International Group, in April 1998.

In his mid-twenties he opened a cocktail bar in Windsor based on the Tom Cocktail movie Cocktail.

In the summer of 2005, Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis – a former panelist at Dragons’ Den – bought the gift experience company Red Letter Days from another colleague Rachel Elnaugh after it collapsed.

Peter has also founded numerous other companies, including the online wine retailer Wines4Business.com and Celsius Resourcing, a specialist recruiting company primarily aimed at biotechnologists.

According to his website, his investments in companies that have appeared in Dragons’ Den include the luxury lifestyle and culture Wonderland Magazine, Square Mile International, the contemporary circus company The Generating Company, Concentrate Design, which makes products supposedly given to students help focus on school, synthetic genomics, iTeddy and reggae reggae sauce.

Peter owns a TV production company called Peter Jones TV and has several real estate investments, including a Portuguese villa.

In 2013, Jones became the owner and director of Jessops in the UK.

He turned it from a high street camera chain into an online photo hub.

His telecommunications company, Brandpath, is valued at £ 250 million.

Is Peter married and does he have children?

Peter divorced his first wife, Caroline, in 2008.

During their marriage, they had two children together – Annabelle and William – who are now adults.

Today he lives in Buckinghamshire with his long-time partner Tara Capp, the co-founder of the lifestyle brand Truly next to Peter.

They have three daughters together, Natalia, Isabella and Tallulah.

Peter has previously said that he will not pass his fortune on to his children.

He said, “My children are not getting my money. You don’t need it. “

Is Peter Jones still friends with Holly Willoughby?

Peter Jones and partner Tara Capp started a new joint venture in 2018 – a lifestyle website called Truly.

The couple started the company with mother of three, Holly Willoughby – their 10-year-old friend who they used to vacation with.

However, she left the project a week before it started, blaming her busy schedule.

At the time, Holly said, “Something had to give. We talked for a long time and it was clear to all of us that I couldn’t integrate it into my life. “

Tara Capp told The Times, “We’ve been working hard on developing the business for 18 months and Holly has decided she can’t set the time.

“We fully supported your decision to do what’s right for you and your family.”

Peter, who also owns a 40 percent stake in Holly’s husband’s television production company, was “angry” according to The Sun.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Tara appears to confirm that Holly’s departure from the £ 11 million company broke their friendship.

When asked about friendship, Tara says, “Euggh. I’m not going to pretend. It was devastating. We were extraordinarily close. And of course, as a company, you really feel the loss of a prominent face. “

Dragons’ Den series 18

Dragons’ Den moved to BBC One, but not much has changed in Den for Series 18.

Evan Davis is still hosting the show and the five “no-nonsense titans” have returned.

Entrepreneurs Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Tej Lalvani and Sara Davies are all open to business and more money.

One thing has changed though – no handshakes or hugs are allowed.

In this first episode, two tea entrepreneurs find themselves in hot water when asked for their numbers.

The dragons discover hidden artistic talent when a mindfulness art business is built.

And an optical inventor hopes to have an investment in sight with his anti-glare glasses.

Meanwhile, a couple have the needs of NHS staff at the center of their skin care business.

Dragons’ Den returns to BBC One on Thursday April 1st, 2021 at 8 p.m.
