Jack Branning in EastEnders is part of one of the show’s most famous families.
He is the son of Jim Branning and brother of Carol Jackson and Max, Suzy, Derek and April Branning.
Jack has three children – Penny, Amy, and Ricky.
Penny lives in France with her mother – Jack’s ex-wife Selina – and Amy and Ricky both live with Jack in Walford.

Scott starred as DS Phil Hunter on The Bill for several years before getting the role of Jack in 2007.
He stayed on the show until 2013, then returned in late 2015.
In addition to acting, Scott took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2010, along with pro dancer Natalie Lowe. And he also wowed the jury in Celebrity Masterchef.
Scott is married to Mrs. Estelle and they have a son named Zak.
One of his best friends is Samantha Womack, who played his love interest Ronnie Mitchell on screen.
When Jack and Ronnie got together, Scott and Sam worried that it would be strange since they had been close friends for so many years that they felt like brother and sister.
What happened between Jack and Ronnie?
Jack and Ronnie Mitchell met shortly after Jack arrived in Walford.
But it wasn’t easy from the start as the ex-cop Jack was causing trouble with the Mitchells and Ronnie was struggling to connect with Jack’s daughter Penny.
When Jack had a drunken one night stand with Ronnie’s sister Roxy, they both wanted to forget, but Roxy found out she was pregnant with daughter Amy.
After a brief romance with his ex-sister Tanya, Jack got back together with Ronnie.
But everything collapsed when Ronnie found out Jack was Amy’s father – thanks to Suzy Branning, who hid the DNA test results in a Christmas cracker!
Jack was with Ronnie when she first found and then lost her daughter Danielle.

And Ronnie stayed with her husband when she found out he was also the father of Sam Mitchell’s son Ricky.
When Ronnie found out that she was pregnant, she was thrilled and she and Jack tied the knot.
Their baby, James, was born while Jack was away. He tragically died and a sad Ronnie traded him in for Kat and Alfie Moon’s newborn baby, Tommy.
Ronnie went to jail for the baby swap, and she and Jack broke up.
But when Jack returned to Walford after a while, the couple got back together and planned to move to Essex together.
Her story ended in tragedy when she drowned in the hotel swimming pool with her sister Roxy on the night of Jack and Ronnie’s second wedding.
Who else is Jack going to date?
Jack had a romance with Chelsea Fox that ended when Jack was shot and realized he still loved Ronnie.
He also had a one night stand with Rainie Cross (now Rainie Highway) after Ronnie went to jail.
Jack later began a romance with Sharon Watts (who then called herself Sharon Rickman). He helped her through her pain reliever addiction and the couple became engaged.
But after visiting Ronnie, Jack realized that he didn’t love Sharon the way he loved Ronnie and dropped her.
What a rat!
Jack has been engaged to Mel Owen since Ronnie’s death, and now he’s engaged to Denise Fox.
He helped her meet her son Raymond, and although the two separated for a while, they’re back together and seem happy – for now!
Is Jack Branning still an EastEnders cop?
Jack left the police before coming to Walford.
His daughter Penny had been run over by one of his contacts and left in a wheelchair and he couldn’t live with the guilt.
He turned to business and ran the club for a while, tried real estate development, got a stake in the car park, and owned the boxing hall.
But he’s now returned to the police force and is Walford’s best crime fighter (sorry, Callum).
Does that mean that Jack has settled down and is ready to enjoy family life with Denise and her blended family and his steady job? We are not convinced!
