Jane McDonald has paid emotional tribute to fans who donated to a hospice caring for their deceased partner.
Eddie Rothe, who Jane was with for 13 years, tragically died of lung cancer in April 2021.
And now the 58-year-old star has thanked all of her fans who donated to the charity.
What did Jane McDonald say?
She shared a logo of the hospice and said, “I want to say a big, heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to the Wakefield Hospice Just Giving Fund in Ed’s memory.
“Your generosity raised a total of £ 12,125.38!

“These funds will make a huge difference to the patients and their families in the hospice.
“I would also like to say how touched I was by the nice and thoughtful messages on the Just Giving page. You were all wonderful! Dear Jane x @wakefieldhospice. “
How did the fans react?
It wasn’t long before many of Jane’s 106,000 followers responded to the star’s message.
One wrote: “That’s nice. A piece of joy in the dark.
“Hospices are such great places and they rely so much on the generosity of others. Take care of yourself xx “
Another said, “What a fantastic donation Jane. You are in my thoughts and prayers, lots of love. “
A third commented: “Well done [to] everyone who contributed. “
How did Jane announce Eddie’s death?
Jane announced the sad news on her Twitter feed in early April and then thanked fans for their kind messages.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone for the wonderful cards and messages of support I have received since the terrible news broke that I had lost my beloved Ed.

“I am so touched by every single one …”
She also said on her website that it was a difficult time for everyone, but she was sure that “better days are ahead”.
