Janette Manrara credits Strictly for “saving” the marriage to Aljaz Skorjanec

Janette Manrara has revealed that her relationship with Aljaz Skorjanec was “saved” through Strictly Come Dancing.

The 37-year-old professional dancer has been happily married to 31-year-old Alijaz for four years.

However, Janette admitted the couple was almost forced apart before participating in the popular BBC reality series.

What did Janette Manrara say?

Janette was debating about work in Los Angeles at the time, while Aljaz considered returning to his homeland in Slovenia.

But the couple managed to land a spot on Strictly just in time.

Speak with The sunshe explained, “Strictly Come Dancing, it saved us. It really saved us in every way. We wanted to try the long distance call and see what happened.

It saved our relationship

“When we got that call to join Strictly, it not only gave us professional stability, it also saved our relationship.”

The couple joined Strictly in 2013, the same year Alijaz won with partner Abbey Clancy.

In the meantime Janette was a partner of the fashion designer Julien Macdonald.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, have spent little time apart throughout their relationship.

However, the couple were forced to live separately on the reality series last year to comply with coronavirus rules.

In conversation with Dr. Ranj in his podcast Steths, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ RollJanette shared, “I love it … no, I miss him terribly, but we’re doing our best for the show.”

What else did Janette do?

Meanwhile, in February, the professional dancer made her debut on BBC Morning Live.

She stood up for regular host Kym Marsh, who was recovering from hernia surgery.

Janette’s biggest fan, however, was without a doubt her handsome husband.

He raved about his wife on the show, saying, “Woke up beaming with pride.

“I’m really excited that my @jmanrara is presenting @bbcmorninglive with @gethincjones.”

Much like the Strictly Star, Morning Live viewers loved Janette.

“So proud, you are a natural,” said one fan while another added, “Duck on water. Brilliant.”
