Joe Swash shouldn’t be in there, but enough with all that hatred

Joe Swash has made the Celebrity MasterChef finals – and I’m still trying to get my jaw off the floor.

I never thought he would reach the last three.

He has winged it throughout the series – often with disastrous results …

I’m just as shocked as you that he made it this far – but surely he doesn’t deserve the hatred that gets thrown in his way …?

Celebrity MasterChef – Joe Swash is in the finals!

On Thursday evening (September 16), Celebrity MasterChef fans turned to Twitter to express their disbelief that Joe Swash made it to the finals.

In a shocking twist worthy of a line-of-duty script, Dion Dublin – previously the favorite to win – was booted from the show.

After standing at the Chef’s Table – moderated by Tom Kerridge – the four finalists delivered food of (supposedly) exceptional quality to impress Michel Roux Jr, Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Paul Ainsworth and Aktar Islam.

And some viewers were downright angry that Joe made the last three.

One fan said he was suspicious of Gregg Wallace and John Torode’s decision, saying, “Joe Swash couldn’t boil an egg and is now in the Celebrity MasterChef finals.

“I smell a big fat rat.”

Another said: “Joe Swash will probably serve sausage and porridge with lumps and without spices … and win. “

A third added: “I’m not sure why Dion was sent home when Dublin was Joe Swash had a bitter sauce. “

“I wouldn’t let a fly eat anything Joe Swash touched, let alone cooked,” chuckled another.

Joe Swash Cooking Disasters

Joe Swash is not very knowledgeable in the kitchen.

The former EastEnders actor admits he barely cooks at home.

He made mistakes every time and still managed to overcome the tough coordination of Gregg and John.

Joe even served raw and bloody duck – and got through.

He made a toad in the hole with mashed potatoes in one round, followed by biscuit and custard.

I mean, it’s not exactly fine dining, is it?

More like a school lunch! And who has ever liked them?

Celebrity MasterChef 2021 finalists

The 39-year-old TV presenter made it to the finals alongside Megan McKenna and Kadeema Cox – the strongest competitors in the entire competition.

Both Kadeema and Megan have impressed time and again – with a few minor slip-ups along the way.

But Joe?

I mean, I like you, Joe, you’re kidding – but you’re a mess in the kitchen.

How you got to the final against Melanie Sykes, Bez and Dion Dublin is amazing.

Even Kem Cetinay showed more raw, natural talent than Joe.

Joe prevailed in Finals Week and somehow made it into the Final Three.

Celebrity MasterChef: Does Joe Swash Deserve To Make A Final Three?

Well I don’t think so.

No offense buddy, but I didn’t think you’d get through the first round.

Joe made us laugh along the way, but this is not a personality contest.

Are John Torode and Gregg Wallace kind to Joe? It would appear that way!

Still, Celebrity MasterChef is an entertainment show too, so maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that we’re surprised …

And one thing is for sure, while Joe’s in disbelief is in the last three, he certainly doesn’t deserve all of the carnage that has been thrown on him.

Perhaps viewers should look to the jury when criticizing the show.

After all, it’s not Joe’s fault that his faults were endlessly forgiven.

Will Joe Swash win the Celebrity MasterChef in 2021?

It would be the biggest shock since Game of Thrones fans found out Hodor was saying “hold the door” the whole time.

If Joe Swash wins the Celebrity MasterChef, judges should be careful to get eggs thrown in their path.

It would just feel so wrong and undeserved.

Yes, we like an outsider, but the title is MasterChef, not MasterJoker.

The Celebrity MasterChef Finale will air on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 9 p.m. on BBC One.
