Who is Josh Widdicombe?
Born in London and raised in Devon, Josh Widdicombe studied sociology and linguistics at the University of Manchester.
In 2008 Josh reached the semifinals in the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year comedy competition.
The following year he won the Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year Award.
Today he’s a comedian and presenter best known for starring alongside Adam Hills and Alex Brooker on The Last Leg.
Josh’s other credits include Fighting Talk, Insert Name Here, and he’s been on Mock the Week regularly since 2014.
Josh, 38, is also known for his own BBC Three sitcom Josh and is a stand-up comedian.
What was Josh’s job before he got famous?
Josh’s first job was writing puzzles and poetry for Dora The Explorer magazine.
He worked his way up in the world of journalism and later worked as a sports reporter for The Guardian.
Josh Widdicombe Married?
Josh is married to comedy television producer Rose Hanson.
Rose worked on shows like 8 out of 10 cats and would I lie to you? as well as Live at the Apollo.
And she has a very unusual claim to fame.

Rose’s mother created the character Zippy from the Rainbow children’s series from the eighties!
The couple have two children, a son and a daughter, who were born in 2017 and 2021.
Josh spoke about a miscarriage they suffered on Parenting Hell, a podcast he shares with Rob Beckett.
He said, “The reason I didn’t talk about it is that when Rose was pregnant, what came after the miscarriage was like – I know this sounds crazy – but you don’t want to be tempted by fate. “
So who are the ancestors of Josh Widdicombe?
That really deserves a drum roll.
On WDYTYA, Josh is shocked to discover that one of his family members was a courtier near King Charles I.
But the real surprise comes when Josh finds out he’s actually related to King Henry VIII.
