Julia Bradbury says skinny, shameful trolls who claimed she had cancer made her feel devastated after posing in a bikini.
The BBC star says she was surprised by the reaction after recently sharing a picture of herself in a bikini.
Julia, 50, was criticized for being “too thin” and some even asked if she was secretly undergoing chemotherapy.
The mother of three says the statements initially traumatized her.
“They asked, ‘Did you have chemotherapy?’ Absolutely not. I don’t have cancer, ”she said.
“It just makes you very sad at first,” she said The sun. “Then online, very quickly, this meager shame became just a meanness that turns into a lot of very personal comments that have nothing to do with the original post.”

However, she insisted that she is more comfortable in her body now than ever, although it has taken some time.
Julia says that no matter what trolls say to her, she will “never stop” doing what she is doing.
Julia refuses to post any more pictures
“A positive body image for women over 50 is so important, so I’ll keep doing what I do. I won’t stop with the haters. “
At the time of the original post that sparked negative comments, Julia made sure to give a scathing response.
In addition to another snapshot of herself in a bikini, she wrote: “For those of you who are seriously worried: I am 1.75 m tall and weigh 9 kilos. According to the NHS BMI indicator, my BMI is 19.5.
“The healthy weight range for my height is between 8st 13lb and 12st 1lb. So I have a healthy weight.
“For those of you who just troll, how do you rate it?” She asked. “Skinny shaming is just as bad as fat shaming.
Julia added defiantly: “It is such a terrible, cruel, mindless condition and it does so much damage”.
