Kajol shows off her honest and empathetic character in her latest Netflix movie Tribhanga

Since Kajol joined Bollywood in 1992, she has always given us high quality films along with her charming characters. Memorable characters like Priya, Simran, Anjali, and Savitribai Malusare, recently played in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, have ruled the hearts of the audience and made a meaningful impression.

Kajol, who has put the spotlight on frontline films that made women shine, has now made her debut in the web world with Renuka Shahane’s directorial debut Tribhanga. The film explores a plot that seeks the importance of family in every life. It turns around and tells the dynamic of three generations of women from the same family. The trailer, which was recently released on digital platforms, has received rave responses from industry members and audiences.

Kajol, who plays an Odissi dancer in the film, says: “Tribhanga celebrates two very important aspects of women’s lives: femininity and motherhood. And that while we are talking about the generation gap that is very timely today. With the privilege of being a woman and a mother comes the challenges, pressures, and responsibilities that will change the course of your life. The theme of the film is intense but realistic. There are things we still don’t talk about when it comes to family, and that is what we are dealing with here. I have a feeling that every single person who watches this movie will take a look at their own family and their own dynamic. I’m glad Renuka brought this New Age family drama to life so beautifully. “

About her character, Kajol says: “I play Anuradha Apte, an Odissi dancer. One major factor that made me love this character was that it resonated with my off-screen personality. Anuradha is honest and stubborn. I am a mother of two, so I could easily sense what was happening around me. A family is a group of individuals who stick together with a sense of belonging, but the choices are likely to be different and I play one such person in Tribhanga. I am very happy about the feedback from the audience. Your love is the only thing that matters. “

Kajol has always made us fall in love with her dedicated characters, and this time Anuradha Apte will win our hearts too. Renuka Shahane’s directorial debut Tribhanga starring Tanvi Shah and Maithili Palkar alongside Kajol will be streamed on Netflix starting today.
