Kate Middleton “obstacle” to the baby name of Prince Harry and Meghan

Kate Middleton could be the reason Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t naming their baby Philippa.

The moniker is currently the bookies favorite for the couple’s unborn daughter.

Harry and Meghan are believed to be considering doing so to honor Prince Philip, who died in April at the age of 99.

But according to a Royal expert, they might be forced to give in as Kate’s sister is also called Philippa.

The 37-year-old was given the name at birth and at baptism, although she is known as Pippa.

Brittani Barger, assistant editor-in-chief of Royal Central, said the Day star: “I don’t think they’ll name their daughter Philippa because that’s Kate’s sister’s name.

“People may hope they’ll call their daughter that in memory of Philip, but I don’t see it.”

She added, “I think the name they choose is going to be unexpected like Archie was.”

Meanwhile, after the name Philippa came out, sources have said that Harry and Meghan are considering giving the Queen a “lovely nod” with their daughter’s name.

It is believed they might consider naming the Dead Lily because she is similar to Queen Lillibet’s nickname.

An insider said OK!: “It would be a nice nod to the Queen who was known as Lillibet when she was a child, but it was always one of Harry’s favorite names too.”
