Crawley Magistrates Court in West Sussex heard on Wednesday that Katie made a confession at the crime scene.
The court was told she said, “I used drugs, I shouldn’t drive, I admit everything.”
According to prosecutor Debbie Jones, a drug test showed a positive value for cocaine.
In addition, a roadside breath test carried out after the accident showed positive for alcohol.

What is she doing now?
After a brief visit to her family, Katie, 43, checked into Priory Rehabilitation Clinic for treatment.
Her family made a statement asking for privacy.

They posted it on Katie’s Instagram account.
It said, “As a family, we’ve been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and general mental health for some time.
“Today our worst fears have almost been fulfilled.
“As a family, we have been and will be helping Kate get the help she needs.
“We hope that she realizes that she cannot fight her problems on her own.”

“It would have covered Harvey’s first semester at his new school, but without Katie to commit, there’s a show now.
Katie understands that, of course, and hopes there will be some room in the future to pick up where they left off.
“The BBC will want to see what happens in the future before deciding what will happen to the show.”
Katie also planned to start a clothing brand called Little Pricey with her younger sister, Sophie.
But even these plans were put on hold because of the accident.
The Sun also reported that investors “got cold feet” after Katie’s arrest.
