The Coronation Street viewers were appalled when Peter hit Ken on tonight’s episode (Wednesday January 27). Now fans say Ken should leave his son.
During today’s double visit on the cobblestones, Peter began to write Simon a farewell letter. But he soon visited Carla and told her he had forgiven her for sleeping with Adam.
However, when Roy told Carla that he had had a similar conversation with his wife Hayley just before she committed suicide, Carla panicked.
When she ran to No. 1, she confronted Peter. He assured her that he had no intention of killing himself. But when she read a letter he left Simon after he left, she was horrified.
Peter explained that he had come to accept that he was dying. But to help motivate himself to get better, she pulled Simon to # 1 to give Peter some meaning.
Carla read Simon Peter’s note out loud and he was devastated. Later in Victoria Gardens, Ken found Simon upset and tried Carla to read him Peter’s note.

When Carla revealed, Peter was gone. Ken went looking for him.
Soon he found his son in a hotel bar. But things quickly took a violent turn.
