Kym Marsh filed a health petition asking other women to have smears after finding out she found “precancerous lesions.”
The former Corrie and Morning Live star, 44, shared her experience in a magazine column.
And she urged other women not to forget their swab tests during lockdown.

Kym wrote in it OK! magazine Column: “I’m someone who’s had cancer cells – I had them removed and, touch wood, I’m fine.
“But imagine if I hadn’t taken that smear test at this point? You have to be vigilant. “

She went on to say statistics show every third woman missed her smear test during the pandemic.
But she urged people to keep their deadlines because you never know what might happen.

Kym also said keeping up with the health of women and the general public was important, despite the temptation to miss out on things.
She urged other women to stay tuned and said, “If you find a lump or something is wrong, you need to see a doctor.”
And she has practiced what she preaches: Kym is recovering from a recent hernia operation.

Elsewhere, Kym announced that she would never say no to returning to Corrie.
The actress played Michelle Connor from 2006 to 2019.

“I really miss everyone, I really miss the road,” she told ED!
“When I left I always said I would come back one day and I will.
“I have no doubt that one day I’ll go back there and dip my toe back, but I’m way too busy right now.”
