Love Island launch date confirmed as it returns to Mallorca for series 7

Love Island will officially launch on June 28th in Mallorca, ITV has confirmed.

ITV2 reality series fans were left without a mansion last year after the show was postponed due to the pandemic.

However, a new batch of sexy singletons is set to move into the famous Spanish mansion VERY soon.

Love Island Launch Date: When Is The Show Returning?

Viewers of the popular dating show will be over the moon to know the show is back this month!

It comes after Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield announced the news this morning today (June 16).

Former stars Marcel Somerville and Amy Hart joined the presenting duo.

During the segment, the group also unveiled the new Love Island items available for purchase this year.

Love Island: where is the film going?

In the meantime, the show will return to Spain this year.

The famous villa is located on the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca (Mallorca).

Before the announcement, ITV Commissioner Amanda Stavri said the Radio times: “We haven’t officially announced anything yet, but Mallorca is pretty much the home of Love Island.

“I can’t confirm anything 100 percent at this point, but it will definitely be the Love Island viewers that they know and love.”

The show previously moved from Mallorca to Cape Town for its winter edition.

However, the series was also scrapped earlier this year due to the pandemic.

In addition, it is believed that this year the show could feature a disabled participant.

According to The sun, ITV bosses have reached out to a number of influencers with disabilities.

This included para-athlete Milly Pickles, who lost her leg after being electrocuted.

A TV insider told this publication: “Castings actively approach someone who has a visible disability.

“It’s all part of the show that tries to be as diverse as possible.”

Over the years, the show has been criticized for its lack of diversity.
