And when talking about his character, he revealed that Lucas wants to save Carla from the agony of being with Peter Barlow.

On Friday night, viewers watched as Carla chose to stay with Peter instead of taking a weekend break at a spa with Lucas.

However, Glen Entertainment has revealed Daily! and others press that he’ll be back on the soap.

“He’s gone through the relationship of being the caring partner and taking care of someone who is addicted to something.

“It may sound callous, but he can look back and think he wasted his life. He really doesn’t want Carla to do the same.

“He speaks to Carla and says, ‘I’ve been there, I know how it is, I can help you with that. I don’t want you to do what I did. ‘

“Either for business or pleasure, I don’t think he’ll take no for an answer.

Carla from Coronation Street is tempted by Lucas

“That’s why I keep coming back to the fact that it has to be more than just a moment when they were in Devon. I think he can see a real future with Carla. “

But he admitted that the flaw in his plan will be that Carla doesn’t want to be saved.

Although Lucas will be returning – for the business opportunity first.
