Meghan and Harry Interview: Royal Family Response

Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey yielded several stunning bombs, but will there be a response from the royal family?

There has been no communication from the palace since the CBS show aired in America.

Archie’s skin tone

In one of the most shocking moments of the interview, which airs on ITV tonight at 9 p.m., Meghan claimed someone in the royal family raised concerns about how dark Archie might be.

One’s pregnant mother said, “During those months when I was pregnant, we had conversations about the lack of security and titles and concerns about how dark his skin might be when he was born.”

Harry added, “I’ll never share this conversation. But at the time it was uncomfortable. I was a little shocked. “

Kate made Meghan cry

In another bombshell, Meghan claimed Kate Middleton made her cry.

Oprah asked about an incident prior to Meghan’s wedding in which the Duchess of Sussex reportedly upset the Duchess of Cambridge.

Meghan claimed, “No, no. The opposite happened. And I’m not saying this to belittle anyone because it was a really tough week of the wedding.

“She was upset about something, but she owned it and apologized.

“And she brought me flowers and a note and apologized. And she did what I would do if I knew I hurt someone, right, to just take responsibility for it. “

“A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something – yes, the problem was right – about flower girl dresses and it made me cry and it really hurt my feelings.

Prior to airing the interview, the palace said: “The Duke and Duchess are no longer working members of the royal family and therefore any decisions they make regarding media commitments are theirs.

“As a non-working MRF, you are under no obligation to inform the royal household of such plans.”

The royal family’s motto is “Never Complain, Never Explain”. Given the gravity of some of the allegations in this interview, will the palace break the convention?
