Meghan Markle ‘Bullying’ Claims Timeline: What Allegedly Happened?

Meghan Markle’s “bullying” allegations surfaced just days before her and Prince Harry’s much-anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Older palace sources have claimed Meghan intimidated and even “bullied” palace staff while she served as a senior queen.

Meghan’s team has already hit back with a denial, while Buckingham Palace is now saying it will open an investigation.

But when did it all go under? And were there rumors of bullying years ago? Here we take a look at who said what and when with a timeline.

Has the Queen warned Meghan?

There were rumors that the Queen was upset that Meghan was requesting a specific tiara for her wedding day.

Apparently the origin could not be determined and she was forbidden to wear them.

ON Palace Insider claimed at the time, “The Queen’s message was very important that Meghan had to think about how to speak to staff and be careful to follow family protocols.”

That clash, however, was adamantly denied in Finding Freedom by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.

Meghan Markle’s involvement in the book has now been confirmed.

Did Kate Middleton betray Meghan?

Meghan reportedly yelled at a Kate Middleton employee in 2018.

This apparently prompted Kate to warn her against such behavior.

An anonymous former royal servant claimed this triggered the end of “The Fab Four”.

The source claimed: “Kate was horrified when Meghan yelled at a Kate employee. That was definitely the start of discussions about leaving Kensington Palace

However, Buckingham Palace went on to claim that the event “never happened”.

How many employees have resigned?

The times released a report on March 2, 2021 alleging royal employees were “bullied” by Meghan Markle.

The report claims the alleged bullying brought tears to some employees.

It is also alleged that Jason Knauf filed a complaint. He allegedly said two employees quit after feeling bullied by Meghan.

How did Meghan Markle react to these bullying allegations?

A Meghan spokeswoman released a statement on her behalf.

She says she is “sad” about the allegations.

The statement reads: “The Duchess is saddened by this recent attack on her character. Especially as someone who has been aiming to bully themselves and who is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.

“She is determined to continue her work to build compassion around the world and will continue to strive to set an example of what is right and what is good.”

Meanwhile, her legal team stated, “Let’s just call this what it is – a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful information.”

A Buckingham Palace investigation into Meghan Markle’s allegations of bullying?

Buckingham Palace responded to allegations of bullying through a spokesman, saying they were “clearly very concerned”.

They also said that a formal HR investigation will now take place.

Her statement includes: “The royal household has implemented a dignity at work policy for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace.”

When does the interview with Meghan and Oprah run?

The interview will air on March 7th in America on CBS.

It will air in the UK the following day, March 8th, at 9pm on ITV.
