Kate Garraway yells for her husband in an emotional trailer for her documentary Finding Derek.
The GMB host’s husband, Derek Draper, has been in the hospital for a year after being admitted to coronavirus in March last year.
Next week, Kate, 53, will be reporting in a documentary about her life since husband Derek fell ill.
Derek was in a coma for months and although he is no longer in a coma, the killer virus has devastated his body.
In footage from the film, Kate, a mother of two, can be seen sorting things out at home.
As she picks up a frame from a pile of objects on a door, she yells, “Derek, I miss you!”
Earlier this week, other footage from the film revealed the first look at Derek, also 53 years old.

On one admission of him in bed in the intensive care unit, Kate comments, “Derek is the sickest person the medical team has treated and who has lived.
“Will he be able to come back? Or will he be alive but no longer the person he was? “
She then adds, “You shouldn’t have to think like that.”
When is Finding Derek?
The documentary will air next Tuesday, March 23rd, at 9 p.m. on ITV.
Viewers can also watch the hour-long film on ITV Hub.
The documentary opens with Kate and her family in July 2020 and will bring viewers up to speed. It ends in March 2021.

How is Derek Draper doing now?
Kate and her two children Darcey and Billy live with uncertainty about Derek’s condition.
He has only fleeting moments of consciousness, suffered kidney failure, liver and pancreas damage, and heart failure.
He also has holes in his lungs after bacterial pneumonia and multiple infections.
In an interview with the Sunday Times over the weekend, the former I’m A Celebrity contestant admitted, “I don’t know if he’s going to have a life again.”
