Aditya Roy Kapur caused a stir with the recent announcement of her joining the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Thadam. Now the makers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani have a brand new addition to the film. The young actress Mrunal Thakur has joined the team as a female lead alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. With various notable characters, the actress will play a sober policewoman for the first time. Based on real events, this yet-to-be-titled thriller, directed by Vardhan Ketkar, will hit the stage this October.
About joining the team, Mrunal says: “When I heard the story of the film, I knew immediately that I had to be a part of this film. My character is very fascinating and playing a cop was on my checklist. This will be a very different role from all the characters I’ve played so far, and I’m looking forward to the audience seeing this movie. “
Producer Bhushan Kumar brought the young actress on board and said: “When Murad Bhai and I talked about the character of the policeman, we immediately thought of Mrunal. She has chosen many interesting roles in her films and also excelled through her appearances in them. We thought she was perfect for this character and we’re glad she’s just as excited to be a part of it. “
Producer Murad Khetani welcomes the new addition to the team: “We wanted someone who had a gentle personality but who had a strong face when needed. During my discussion with Bhushanji, we immediately thought of Mrunal for the role. When we approached her with this figure, she was thrilled and quickly got on board. We look forward to working with her. “
Directed by Vardhan Ketkar, the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
