“My mother immortalized my work through her art,” says Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra is very proud that her mother, the well-known artist Reena Chopra, has painted an incredibly special painting to commemorate her upcoming release, The Girl On The Train (TGOTT). The painting shows a girl standing in front of a speeding yellow train, similar to the Paris character in the film.

“My mother surprised me with this painting, I wasn’t even aware that she was doing it for me. As most of you know, my mother is a professional painter and she sells her works of art, but these are not sold as they are very valuable. She immortalized my work in TGOTT through her art and this is the sweetest, warmest and most special gift I have ever received from her, ”says Parineeti.

Pari adds, “She has never done this for any of my films. This shows what impact the content of TGOTT had on them. I am overwhelmed and at the same time I feel on top of the world! “Parineeti’s parents are her greatest strength and she has made special plans to put this painting in her posh new home in Mumbai.

She reveals, “My parents have been my greatest cheerleaders all my life, and I feel incredibly special being their kid. She was my cushion and helped me find my way into this world and I have no words to express what I am feeling right now. This precious painting will be in my home and keep me motivated to make more films that will make them take more pictures like this for me! “

The Girl on the Train is a celebrated book by Paula Hawkins. It was made into a Hollywood film with Emily Blunt in the lead role in 2016. In the Bollywood version, Parineeti Chopra plays the girl of the same name who takes the train, an alcoholic divorce that is embroiled in an investigation into missing persons and uncovered deeper secrets.

The Girl on the Train will have a direct digital premiere on Netflix on February 26th. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
