Netflix has announced the release date of Locke & Key Season 2.
The highly anticipated new series will premiere on the streaming service in October.
Locke & Key is based on the bestselling comic series of the same name.
What is Locke & Key Season 2 about?
The Netflix series follows the Locke siblings and their mother, who move into their home.
They quickly discover that it is full of magical keys that may be linked to their father’s death.
However, they also encounter a demonic force that the house wants to use for their own evil purposes.
Season one ended with Dodge (Laysla De Oliveira) desperate for the Omega Key.
It is the oldest key in existence and has the power to open the door to a brand new world.
How the key is used, however, depends on whether someone is good or bad to own it.
To make matters worse, in the chaos it was also revealed that Eden was possessed.
She was hit by a stray demonic bullet in the finale and is now a danger to everyone and herself.
Unfortunately, Netflix is currently keeping details about the second season under wraps.

Even so, co-show runner Meredith Averill recently teased a few details.
“The world Joe and Gabe made is so rich with so much potential for places to visit,” he told the Hollywood Reporter.
“I feel like we have a lot of stories that we want to tell. The stories we tell in season one are the starting point for many of the stories that are to come. “
Who is in the cast of Locke & Key Season 2?
Scandal star Darby Stanchfield plays Nina Locke, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke, Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke and Bill Heck as Rendell Locke.
Elsewhere, Laysla De Oliveira plays Dodge, Thomas Mitchell Barnet plays Sam Lesser, and Griffin Gluck plays Gabe.

Just a month later, to the delight of fans, Netflix gave the series the green light for a second run.
However with a mediocre acceptance of critics (66% on Rotten tomatoes) the new season has a lot to offer when it comes to attracting new viewers.
Locke & Key Season 2 will debut on Netflix in October 2021. However, an exact release date has not yet been set.
