New EastEnders star Heather Peace has announced that she wants to return to Waterloo Road.
The actress is soon to join the BBC soap as ex-inmate Eve Unwin, which follows Stacey Slater to the Square after meeting in prison.
But with the news, Waterloo Road is making a return six years after its ax – it has its own comeback in mind.
Who played EastEnders star Heather Peace on Waterloo Road?
The actress played Nikki Boston in the school drama from 2011.
Originally Head of English, Nikki was promoted to Deputy Headmistress in 2013 – but then Heather decided to take a break.

She said at the time that she could return for season 11 – but the cancellation made that impossible. Until now.
What did she say about a return?
With fans reaching out on Twitter begging her to return, Heather has said she’s interested.
She tweeted: “That would be amazing at some point, of course!”
When is Waterloo Road returning and will Heather join?
Waterloo Road’s new series will be set and produced in Greater Manchester.
In the original show, the first seven series were discontinued and manufactured in Rochdale.
However, in series eight, the school moved to Greenock, Scotland, and filming was postponed.
In 2019, the entire box set from the original series was released on BBC iPlayer.
The show has also consistently remained in the top five most watched shows for young audiences on BBC iPlayer.
Commenting on the show’s revival, Piers Wenger, director of the BBC drama said, “Waterloo Road is the perfect lens to explore the UK after COVID.
“From the point of view of those who are probably most affected: young people in training.
“We are very excited to be returning to this brilliant format. The thrills and tidbits, the unmistakable characters and high drama – at a time when audiences across the UK need them most.
“And to work with the brilliant Cameron Roach and Wall to Wall on his return.”

It is unknown if any of the former cast members will return to the show.
The BBC has not yet announced when Waterloo Road will be back on TV.
However, with Holby City ending next March and the joint and several debt drama replacing it, next spring seems like a likely bet.
