“Todd can’t do anything in a nice, normal way. It must be kind of agonizing, full of machinations and skulduggery.
“Bags come out and it’s really fun. Todd enjoys his manipulations – that’s what I love most about him. He does whatever it takes to get his hands on the award – in this case, it’s Billy.
“Todd is going to go out very sneakily to undermine the relationship between Billy and Paul. He will ultimately and temporarily look like he has everything he wants.

Todd Grimshaw of Coronation Street will lose everything
“Todd is getting his happy ending, but it’s already got a massive break. In a very explosive, dramatic – again quite thriller – path later in the year Todd’s machinations will come to light and he will lose it all in the end. “
And Iain added that Todd will lose his job and will be forced to get another one – at the funeral home.
“Todd is Todd, he’s pretty Teflon,” added Iain.
“He’s going to lose it all again and then get back to it pretty quickly, or something of the same value. We really want to enjoy this character.
“We understand that the best bad guys are the ones who like to hate you and almost laugh at your audacity. Todd has the ability to be very funny and entertaining as the villain. “

The Coronation Street chief continued talking about Todd Grimshaw and said, “We’re giving him another arena. We’re giving him a job at the funeral home at George Shuttleworth.
“We thought this could be a brilliant one-two punch, since George is kind of generous, kind, warm and funny, Todd is not!
“If you had cast a sitcom set on these funeral homes, what slide would be better for George than the constantly planning Todd?”
