OTT Platforms part of IFFI for the first time

A reference to Digital India IFFI52 Announces Program for OTT Platforms Exclusive Masterclasses, Content Launches, Previews, Special Screenings and Q&A Sessions for Cine Lovers For the first time five big OTT players will take place at the 52nd International Film Festival of India from 20th to November 28, 2021 in Goa. OTT giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee5, Voot and SonyLIV will be present at the film festival through exclusive masterclasses, content launches and previews, curated film package screenings and various other on-ground and virtual events.

To improve quality and produce new content, these major OTT platforms produce a variety of shows and films every year.

The OTT pioneer Netflix is ​​organizing a 3-day virtual masterclass at the renowned Paris School of Image and Art, Gobelins – School L’image. Netflix is ​​also organizing the India premiere of the historical drama “The Power of the Dog” by filmmaker Jane Campion, starring Benedict Cumberbatch & Kirsten Dunst.

A special screening of the film ‘Dhamaka’ will also be shown by Netflix, including an introduction to the film by actor Kartik Aaryan. In addition, this year Netflix will preview Episode 1 of Aranyak, an upcoming crime series starring Raveena Tandon and Ashutosh Rana.

Another OTT player, SonyLIV, has proposed holding a masterclass by Scam-1992 screenwriters – Sumit Purohit and Saurav Dey – hosted by Indranil Chakraborty, Business Head of Studio Next. Another masterclass by Maharani screenwriter Nandan Jha will be moderated by Saugato, Head of Original Content, LIV.

SonyLIV will also show its Tryst with Destiny web series by Prashant Nair, Ashish Golwalkar & Amogh Dusad.

Breakpoint – the popular Paes & Bhupathi series by Nitesh Tiwari & Ashwini Iyer is curated by Zee5 especially for IFFI.

Zee5 will also have a Directors Round Table entitled “Championing the Game” with Nitish Tiwari, Screenwriter and Director of Dangal & Breakpoint, Akarsh Khurana, Director of Rashmi Rocket, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Director of Bhag Milkha Bhag and Omung Kumar, Director organized by Maria Kom.

Zee5 will also showcase and announce one of the most coveted projects, ‘Zee Katha Caravan’, which provides a platform for writers of today and tomorrow to share the most moving stories.
